Founded in 2002 as Eclipse Sports Publishing in Newmarket UK, the Headquarters of horseracing, the company started with producing sports videos, racecards, Limited Edition sports prints and sports memorabilia. Five years later the company had diversified into new areas and in order to go even further, the change of name was necessary. This was the birth of BIL, British Initiatives Ltd.
